Cash Assistance

Cash Assistance is known as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) which can provide cash benefits to eligible families for up to 36 months.   While in receipt of cash assistance, mandatory participants will complete training, participate in work programs and search for jobs to become self-sufficient.  Cash assistance can be direct deposited into your bank account or received on the Ohio EPPICard that works like a prepaid MasterCard at ATMs, banks and stores that accept MasterCard.

How to apply or re-apply:

Work requirements:

Work required TANF recipients are required to enter into a self sufficiency contract with their County Job and Family Service agency.  The agreement will require participants to complete a certain number of work activity hours per week to receive benefits.
